Low Wastage Cutting Plans
SECANT Plate is for smaller metal workshops with guillotines or single axis saws. It produces accurate, low wastage cutting plans for all types of steel, aluminium and architectural cladding materials at the touch of a button, producing customised printed reports giving clear instructions for saw operation. Part lists can be imported from Excel or Comma Separated Variable (CSV) files, or entered directly into the system. SECANT Plate quickly generates cutting patterns which can then be passed to the production floor through fully customisable printed reports.

When SECANT Plate generates its cutting patterns the part list is sorted by material and cross referenced with the stocks of raw materials that are available so that each part is planned into a compatible stock product. Reports are produced showing the cutting patterns for each material in turn.
We understand that failing to manage offcuts can result in capital being tied up in an ever-expanding range of raw material sizes. The decisions on when to use an offcut and when to create an offcut are a vital part of cut planning. SECANT Plate allows you to implement your own consistent offcut policy – with a flexible bias towards preferential use of stored offcuts and consideration of the benefit of producing a lower number of larger offcuts, if necessary, rather than many smaller sizes.
SECANT Plate controls the number of different cut parts in production at any time helping to avoid congestion problems in the marshalling area.
SECANT Plate can be configured to produce patterns with or without turns, either including or prohibiting third phase cutting. It also aims to minimize the number of cycles the saw has to make by utilizing the full cutting height of the saw as often as possible saving valuable time in the production area.
