Low Wastage Cutting Plans
SECANT Sheet is for smaller joinery firms or furniture workshops with simple panel or sliding table saws. It produces low wastage optimised cutting plans for all types of wood and timber materials at the touch of a button, producing customised printed reports giving clear instructions for saw operation. Part lists can be imported from Excel or Comma Separated Variable (CSV) files, or entered directly into the system. SECANT Sheet quickly generates cutting patterns which can then be passed to the production floor through fully customisable printed reports.

When SECANT Sheet generates its cutting patterns the part list is sorted by material and cross referenced with the stocks of raw materials that are available so that each part is planned into a compatible stock product. Reports are produced showing the cutting patterns for each material in turn.
We recognize that in cutting optimization yield is not always the complete story. SECANT takes into account the cost of picking a number of different raw materials from the warehouse, and the savings in machine time if multiple sheets can be cut as a book of the same pattern.
SECANT Sheet controls the number of different cut parts in production at any time helping to avoid congestion problems in the marshalling area.
SECANT Sheet can be configured to produce patterns with or without turns, either including or prohibiting third phase cutting. It also aims to minimize the number of cycles the saw has to make by utilizing the full cutting height of the saw as often as possible saving valuable time in the production area.
