Limited time. Free 30 day trial of SECANT

I changed my control settings but when I created a new job the changes had gone back to their previous value – what happened?

When you create a new job in SECANT a copy of a set of default controls is taken, which control set you use is selected when you create the job. Any changes then made to the controls for that job ONLY apply to that job.

When SECANT is first installed it has one set of defaults in the control library. To edit these controls you should click on the 3-bar menu at the top of the SECANT window and select the menu option System/Controls/Open. Double click on Default.CTL to display the control dialog. Any changes made will apply to any NEW jobs created with this control set, existing jobs which used this control set will be unaffected

You can configure as many different control setups as you like by selecting System/Controls/New from the main menu. These will then appear as options in the “Set control and stock information” dialog when you create a new job.
