How do I change the format of the file I’m importing my cut part information from?

To change the configuration of your Excel or CSV file which is being used to import your cutting list, open the main 3-bar menu at the top of the SECANT window and select the menu option System/Configure import format. This will open a dialog which allows you to configure the type of file you are importing from, along with for Excel files the Sheet you wish to import from whilst for CSV files the separator used between fields e.g. comma, semicolon, space or tab. You may also specify whether there is a header line present which should not be imported, and which format of decimal point is being used. Part sizes specified in the file you are importing can be either increased or decreased in size when brought into the cutting list by using the Increase imported length/width fields. Finally, there is a grid containing a list of SECANT cut part fields where you should enter the column number for the corresponding data in your Excel or CSV file. Once the configuration is saved by clicking on the OK this will be used for all future imports.
